I've been busy, busy these past few weeks...work, quilt show, scrapping projects.
Let's start with work. Things were hectic the first few weeks in September. I officially retired on Sept. 22, so there was quite a bit of training my replacement and last minute details to take care of. And then, of course, there was the farewell lunch party at work. Here is my new hat:
Quilt Show. I recently attended the WPT Quilt Expo in Madison, WI. Here are some of my favorites:
Scrapping Projects. In the span of just two weeks, I made two smaller memory books. This one is for my boss, Lynn, who was 50 in August. She also has some serious health issues, so we girls tried to make the best of things and throw her a little surprise party. We decorated her office, got a cake for the whole office to share, and even threw in a nice little gift. I wanted her to remember the good feelings from that day, hence the scrapbook. This is made with a 6" x 6" accordion book from Close to My Heart. Here are a couple of pages from this book:
I'll detail the other book in my next post. Till then...
