Lake Geneva: Playground of Chicagoland's Who's Who

Hello Blog Friends,

Denis and I have been traveling again, this time to the southern area of our state, to Lake Geneva, aka "Chicagoans Wisconsin Playground".   While in Lake Geneva, we visited the Yerkes Observatory.  When it was built in 1896, it was the largest telescope in the world.  It was the brainchild of George Hale (yes, of Palomar fame).  We took a nice and informative tour.  That afternoon, we took a boat ride around the lake and saw some very expensive and magnificent homes.

Here are some pics:

Needless to say, with traveling again, working, and family obligations, I haven't had much time for crafts.  That will soon, change, however...my retirement date is less than a month away.

Till next time...
